Constituency updates - November/December ‘25
What I’ve been up to in the constituency this month
🛍️ Small Business Saturday – Celebrated our brilliant local independent businesses, including Chai and Chaat, the Cambian Bletchley Park School Fete, Country Wood Floors, Mursley Farm Shop, and many more across Buckingham and Bletchley’s high streets.
📍 Constituency Surgeries – Held my regular constituency surgeries in Buckingham, Bletchley and Winslow, hearing directly from residents about the issues that matter to them.
🏗️ Bletchley Investment Taskforce – Chaired the quarterly meeting of the Bletchley Investment Taskforce to drive forward local growth and regeneration.
🎄 Buckingham Christmas Parade & Community Fair – Joined the festivities in Buckingham. Sadly missed the end of the parade, but still managed to pick up some Christmas presents!
🎖️ Veterans’ Christmas Breakfast – Had the privilege of serving breakfast to veterans at their annual Christmas celebration at Captain Ridley’s Shooting Party.
🏫 Rickley Park Primary School – Visited the school and met with their School Council members. Brilliant to see political engagement starting so young.
🚒 Fire & Rescue Meeting – Met with Buckinghamshire’s Chief Fire Officer to discuss proposed changes to local fire provision.
🐕 Medical Detection Dogs Christmas Fayre – Enjoyed a festive visit to the Christmas Fayre. Dogs and gifts – what’s not to love?
🎓 UK Parliament Week Engagement – Answered questions from students at MK College, as well as Year 9s taking part in the LIFT programme at The Buckingham School.
🥫 Tesco & FareShare Food Collection – Spoke with volunteers supporting the Tesco and FareShare food collection in Buckingham. A huge thank you to everyone involved.
🎅 Green Man Christmas Fayre – Attended the opening of the Green Man’s Christmas Fayre in Mursley.
🏛️ MK Civic Agreement Ceremony – Took part in the Milton Keynes Civic Agreement ceremony.
🩺 Westfield Surgery – Met with the team at Westfield Surgery in Bletchley to hear their views on reducing winter pressures on the NHS.
🎡 British Amusement Catering Trade Association – Met with local BACTA members to discuss issues facing the sector.
☕ Queensway Methodist Church Community Café – Visited this wonderful café, run by dedicated volunteers and going strong for 40 years.
🏥 Integrated Care Board Catch-Up – Had my regular meeting with the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board.
📻 Milton Keynes Hospital Radio – Was interviewed on MK Hospital Radio. Thanks to Jeff for the warm welcome, as always.
🌧️ Flood Action 4 Buckingham – Joined Flood Action 4 Buckingham, Buckinghamshire Council, the Environment Agency and others to discuss what’s still needed to prevent serious flooding incidents in North Buckinghamshire.
🧩 SEND at Priory Rise School – Spoke with the Head of SEND at Priory Rise School about what’s needed ahead of the upcoming White Paper.
