Local cost of living support

I know that across our community, the cost of living remains a real and ongoing concern. While there has been welcome progress and significant steps taken, I recognise that many local people are still facing challenges. 

That is why it is so important that people can access the help and advice available to them. This page brings together a range of trusted organisations offering cost of living support, both nationally and within Buckingham, Bletchley, Tattenhoe, Winslow and the many villages between. These include services providing guidance on managing finances, accessing benefits, and getting help with energy costs and housing.

National charities and advice organisations 

Citizens Advice - They help millions of people every year with free, independent and expert advice across the broadest range of areas - from money and debt to benefits, housing, energy, work and so much more. 

StepChange Debt Charity - They offer free debt advice, and a range of solutions, tools and resources for people across the UK who are worried about money. 

Money Saving Expert -  The site is dedicated to cutting your bills and fighting your corner with journalistic research, cutting-edge tools and a massive community – all focused on finding deals, saving cash and campaigning for financial justice. 

Independent Age - Their helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on.  

Age UK Benefits and Advice - This page is dedicated to supporting older people to ensure that they are receiving all the benefits that they are entitled to.  

National Debtline - This free debt helpline offers confidential support from experienced advisers who understand what you’re going through.
