Callum’s Christmas card competition - congratulations

Congratulations to Daniela, Year 6 at Abbeys Primary, whose design has been chosen as this year’s festive e-card winner. Her artwork will be shared far and wide this season, and it captures the warmth and community spirit we love to see. A big well done to all the runners-up - the creativity and effort from our local children has been wonderful, and you gave my team and me a real boost.

The picture features Frenchie, the much-loved dog who visits the school every week and has become a familiar friend to the pupils. Frenchie is currently under the weather after eating too many Christmas chocolates, but we’re confident she’ll make a full recovery by the new year.

Runners-up include Alice, Aston, Dominic, Harvey, Hugo, Iris, and Nancy, each of whom brought their own imagination and festive flair to the competition.

This e-card has been sent to every single MP and to hundreds of local businesses and stakeholders across our area. It’s a celebration of local talent and a way to showcase the brilliant work happening in our schools. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped spread some festive cheer - and to Frenchie, rest up, we want to see you bounding back in 2026!
