Westminster updates - September/October ‘25

Over the past month in Westminster, I:

  • Voted to pass the Bus Services Bill, for further English devolution, and the Sentencing Bill – which aims to ensure that our prisons never run out of space again.

  • Held Trinity Estates to account at a meeting with my fellow MPs.

  • Received answers from the Foreign Office on international cooperation around money laundering.

  • Took part in a Black History Month reception at the Speaker’s House.

  • Attended events in Parliament on Prostate Cancer and Breast Cancer Awareness.

  • Met with senior representatives from the financial services industry on the Mansion House Accords, scaling up small businesses and encouraging more people to invest their savings.
