Westminster updates - September/October ‘25
Over the past month in Westminster, I:
Voted to pass the Bus Services Bill, for further English devolution, and the Sentencing Bill – which aims to ensure that our prisons never run out of space again.
Held Trinity Estates to account at a meeting with my fellow MPs.
Received answers from the Foreign Office on international cooperation around money laundering.
Took part in a Black History Month reception at the Speaker’s House.
Attended events in Parliament on Prostate Cancer and Breast Cancer Awareness.
Met with senior representatives from the financial services industry on the Mansion House Accords, scaling up small businesses and encouraging more people to invest their savings.
