More funding for Willen Hospice

Parliament is breaking up this week for the summer recess, and I’m looking forward to spending more time out and about across the constituency over the coming weeks. It’s always a pleasure to catch up with residents, community groups and local businesses – and to hear directly from you about the issues that matter.

I’m especially pleased to share some good news this week: Willen Hospice has received over £430,000 in vital government funding to support their incredible work. This is well-deserved recognition for the compassionate care they provide to so many families in our area.

Many residents in Winslow, Whitchurch and Oving will also be relieved that recent water supply issues have now been resolved. I know how disruptive this was, and I’ll be following up directly with Anglian Water when I meet with them in the coming weeks to ensure lessons are learned.

With Parliament being in recess, this newsletter will be sent less regularly over the summer while I engage with constituency duties. In the meantime, thank you for reading. If there is anything I can help you with, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Westminster

In Westminster I:

  • Took part in the Department for Business and Trade’s parliamentary questions.

  • Met with local firefighters in Westminster Hall.

  • Attended a Homes England briefing on the delivery of new homes and places.

  • Received answers on Ministerial Questions relating to trade in developing countries, reporting charity impact and our military alliance with France.
