Callum’s Catch Up 16.07.25
Holding Anglian to account
It’s been a busy couple of weeks! I’ve celebrated the news that waiting lists are coming down locally, hosted my first-ever ‘Meet your MP’ events, and welcomed Buckingham University’s very own Malindi Mwangi and Zackari Lawanson to Parliament following their Octopus Group Entrepreneur Award win.
And this week I have been chasing up Anglian Water due to shortages in Winslow and the surrounding areas. I’ve made clear that there response so far has not been adequate, and I promise to keep on pressing for answers and improvements. Click here to read my letter to Anglian in full.
As always, thank you for reading. If there is anything I can do to help you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Constituency
Spoke to local communities about improving our high streets during sessions in Tattenhoe and Queensway.
Held two ‘Meet your MP’ events in Winslow and Buckingham, on top of two of my regular constituency surgeries.
Attended a roundtable with the National Farmers Union and local farmers to discuss how our Government can support agriculture.
Spoke to students at St John and St James Academy, Giles Brook School (pictured), and Lord Grey Academy.
Made the most of the sunshine at West Bletchley Carnival, and heard more about the fantastic achievements of Milton Keynes Community Foundation at their event in Crichley Hall.
Held catch up meetings with various town and county councillors to see how we can work together on local issues.
Westminster
In Westminster I:
Celebrated Leah Williamson’s Bletchley heritage and attended an F1 reception in Downing Street. It’s been a good couple of weeks for local sport!
Met constituents at the climate change lobby in Westminster Hall.
Voted in favour of the Football Governance Bill.
Hosted an industry roundtable on encouraging retail investment.
Spoke at the launch of the GetInvested campaign.
