What I’ve been up to in the constituency

📮 Royal Mail sorting office, Bletchley – Visited the Royal Mail sorting office in Bletchley and raised the concerns and frustrations many residents have shared with me about recent postal delays, particularly across the MK1, MK2 and MK3 areas.

🏆 Buckingham Primary School – Joined staff and pupils at Buckingham Primary School & Nursery to celebrate their fantastic OPAL Platinum Award. A brilliant recognition of the school’s commitment to play, wellbeing and creating an outstanding environment for children.

🚶 Winslow Big Society Group – Joined the weekly Gentle Walk around Winslow and met residents enjoying a great mix of exercise, fresh air and conversation. Community groups like this play a vital role in tackling isolation and bringing people together.

🌍 Environmental campaigners, Winslow – Met local environmental activists to discuss the National Emergency Briefing initiative, international cooperation on climate action and how national ambitions can translate into practical local change.

🍳 Winslow ABC breakfast meeting – Joined Winslow ABC for breakfast and heard about the excellent work they do supporting local businesses, promoting the town and giving the business community a strong collective voice.

🌱 Sustainable Stewkley & Climate Club MK – Met local campaigners to discuss environmental issues, climate engagement and road safety concerns, including the case for 20mph limits in key locations.

🏋️ The Mill, Buckingham – Visited The Mill and met the team behind this growing fitness and wellbeing business. It was fascinating to hear about their ambitions, future plans and the success they have achieved since opening.

👶 Winslow Baby & Toddler Group – Dropped in to meet parents, grandparents and young children enjoying this fantastic local group. Community spaces like these provide invaluable support networks for families with young children.

🏫 Swanbourne Church of England School – Enjoyed spending time with pupils and staff, learning more about school life and meeting the newly elected House and Sports Captains. I was particularly impressed by the school’s focus on building confidence, resilience and ambition.

🎨 St Mary’s eco art exhibition, Bletchley – Visited the Eco Art Exhibition at St Mary’s Church and saw an inspiring collection of creative work exploring environmental themes and giving local people a platform to share their hopes for the future.

☕ Connecting Communities Café, West Bletchley – Stopped by the Connecting Communities Café at St Mary’s Community Centre and met residents enjoying a welcoming space for conversation, friendship and community support.

🚜 Rural business roundtable, Padbury Hill Farm – Joined local business owners and farmers to discuss opportunities for Buckinghamshire’s rural economy, including planning, investment, infrastructure and business growth.

🏘️ Water Stratford annual meeting – Attended Water Stratford’s Annual Meeting and heard directly from residents about local priorities. Being visible and accessible in every community across the constituency remains hugely important to me.

💙 Milton Keynes Branch MND – Visited the MND Milton Keynes Branch to learn more about the vital support they provide for people living with motor neurone disease, their families and carers across the area.

 🥩Palmers Butchers – Stopped by Palmers Quality Butchers, a brilliant local family business which has been a popular mainstay of Queensway for around 40 years, employing local people and serving generations of customers.

🎾 Stewkley Tennis Club Padel Court – Had the pleasure of officially opening the club’s new padel court. The facility will help more people stay active and is a fantastic addition for residents across north Buckinghamshire.

⚜️ Great Horwood Scout Hut – Met Rangers, Guides, Brownies and Rainbows from across the local area to discuss environmental issues, community action and the legacy of St Francis of Assisi’s values of stewardship and social justice.

🩺 Thrive Chiropractic & Health Clinic – Visited Thrive Chiropractic & Health Clinic to hear about their work helping local people improve their health and wellbeing, and discuss how preventative healthcare can reduce pressure on NHS services.

🎡 Newton Longville Village Show & Fete – Enjoyed attending this fantastic community event and seeing first-hand the dedication of volunteers who helped make the day such a success.

🌻 Padbury Produce Show – Visited the Padbury Produce Show and was hugely impressed by the talent on display across baking, horticulture, crafts and more. A wonderful celebration of village life and community spirit.

🛍️ Discover Buckingham – Joined independent businesses in Buckingham town centre as Discover Buckingham returned, showcasing the best of the local high street and encouraging residents to shop local.

🌺 Community sensory garden, Bletchley – Visited the Community Sensory Garden and met the volunteers whose hard work has transformed the space into a welcoming community asset for local residents to enjoy.

Winslow Show – Rounded off the Summer Recess with another fantastic visit to the Winslow Show. It was brilliant to see residents from across Winslow, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes coming together to enjoy one of the area’s best-loved community events.

💜 Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity Shop, Winslow – Visited the charity’s Winslow shop as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. It was a pleasure to thank the dedicated volunteers whose efforts have helped raise more than £1.5 million for hospice care over the years.

💦 Buckingham Holiday Club – Dropped in on the churches’ collaborative summer holiday club in Buckingham and saw first-hand the fantastic free activities being provided for local children and families throughout the school holidays.

🤝 MK Money Lifeline & Frank Moran Centre – Met the team at MK Money Lifeline to learn more about the free debt advice and financial support they provide across Milton Keynes and Bletchley. Their work offers a vital lifeline for people struggling with financial pressures.

☕ Frank’s 55s coffee morning, West Bletchley – Joined residents at this popular community coffee morning, enjoying plenty of conversation and seeing first-hand how valuable these regular social gatherings are in tackling loneliness and bringing people together.

🏭 Thermal Hazard Technology, Bletchley – Visited Thermal Hazard Technology, a world-leading local business based in Bletchley. It was fascinating to learn more about their specialist work and the innovation taking place right here in our constituency.

🐑 Thrift Farm – Spent time at Thrift Farm and was hugely impressed by the wide range of opportunities, activities and support they provide for children, adults and families across Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and beyond.

🛍️ Winslow ABC – Joined Winslow ABC to discuss the future of Winslow High Street, support for local businesses and how these priorities fit into Buckinghamshire Council’s emerging Local Plan.

🗣️ Meet Your MP – Held Meet Your MP sessions in Akeley and Newton Longville, speaking directly with residents about local healthcare, social care, cycling infrastructure and economic opportunities across the constituency.

🌳 Stewkley Copse – Visited Stewkley Copse with local representatives and saw the impressive progress of this community-led environmental project. It is a fantastic legacy that will benefit future generations for years to come.

🏘️ West Bletchley Community Centre – Joined celebrations marking the reopening of the centre’s small hall and met the volunteers who keep this much-loved community hub running. From coffee mornings to social clubs, the centre remains at the heart of local community life.

🥊 Bytomic Martial Arts & Fitness – Visited Bytomic, a Buckingham-based business that has grown into the UK’s leading supplier of martial arts and boxing equipment. It was great to hear about their success and future ambitions.

🎓 University of Buckingham & Buckingham Society – Attended the Buckingham Society’s Annual Meeting and caught up with local residents who do so much to support the town and wider community.

🌍 Climate & Nature Emergency Briefing – Returned to the University of Buckingham for a well-attended briefing exploring the links between climate change, biodiversity loss, food security and national resilience.

🚜 Parkfield Farm, Stowe – Met local farmers and discussed the challenges facing agriculture and the wider rural economy, including rising costs, economic pressures and the future of British farming.

🏛️ Stowe House – Enjoyed touring the magnificent Stowe House, one of the country’s most important historic estates and a remarkable local asset of national significance.

📦 UK Warehousing Association roundtable – Joined industry leaders and local employers at John Lewis’ Fenny Lock distribution centre to discuss investment, logistics, skills and opportunities for economic growth across Bletchley and Milton Keynes.

🏥 Milton Keynes University Hospital Imaging Centre – Visited the hospital’s new Imaging Centre and saw how bringing MRI, CT and ultrasound services together is already helping patients receive faster diagnoses and treatment.

📚 Whaddon C of E School – Spent time with staff and pupils at Whaddon C of E School and saw the warm, inclusive environment they have created for children to learn and thrive.

🌊 Buckingham flood action – Convened the latest multi-agency flood action meeting with community groups, councils, agencies and local residents to review progress and continue strengthening flood resilience across Buckingham.
