Constituency updates - May ‘26
What I’ve been up to in the constituency this month
🎙️ Milton Keynes Hospital Radio – Had the pleasure of making my second appearance on Milton Keynes Hospital Radio, where I was interviewed by the brilliant Jeff Drake. It was a great opportunity to discuss local issues and priorities, and share more about my work across the constituency. You can listen to me in full (if you wish!) here.
🏫 Social media roundtables and school visits – Held consultation sessions and roundtables with students, teachers, parents and school leaders from across Buckingham, Bletchley, Tattenhoe, Winslow and the villages. Thank you to everyone who took part and shared their views. I was especially pleased to visit and meet staff and students from a range of local schools, colleges and further education institutions, including Akeley Wood School, Buckingham University, Furzedown Primary School, Lift Sir Herbert Leon Academy, Lord Grey Academy, MK College, Royal Latin School (pictured below) and Stowe School. Click here for my submission to Ministers, and I welcome the ban on social media for under 16s.
🧁 Chestnuts School bake off – Enjoyed attending the Chestnuts School Bake Off and seeing the creativity, enthusiasm and community spirit on display. Congratulations to everyone who took part.
🤝 Bletchley Investment Taskforce – Met with the Bletchley Investment Taskforce to discuss ongoing regeneration and investment opportunities in the area, and also caught up separately with Iain Standen (Chief Executive, Bletchley Park Trust) to hear more about local priorities and future plans.
🏥 Oak Wards opening at MKUH – Attended the official opening of the new Oak Wards at Milton Keynes University Hospital. It was fantastic to see this important investment in local healthcare facilities, The new two-story, 48-bed facility provides a major capacity boost dedicated to supporting older patients, specifically those living with frailty and dementia.
📍 Constituency advice surgery – Held my regular constituency advice surgery in Buckingham, meeting residents and helping with a range of local concerns and casework issues.
🎨 Buckingham Art for All – Went along to the Buckingham Art for All preview evening and enjoyed seeing the impressive work on display from talented local artists, as well as catching up with members of our local creative community.
