Westminster updates - June-July ‘26
Over the past month (or so) in Westminster, I:
Voted in favour of the Immigration and Asylum Bill, the Climate Change Act and the Railways Bill, supporting the Government’s legislative agenda across a range of key priorities.
Submitted Written Parliamentary Questions on pension reform, community energy, supporting women in higher education and more.
Spoke in the House on the Sustainable Farming Initiative, encouraging SME youth employment and celebrating Silverstone weekend!
Joined the then Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, to celebrate the announcement of £17 million in funding for Bletchley station, a major investment in our local transport infrastructure.
Convened stakeholders for a Homes England roundtable on the Government’s housing ambitions and sponsored a reception with Monzo to discuss Britain’s long-term financial resilience gap and the steps needed to address it.
Met with Chiltern Railways to discuss their future plans, Fair By Design on improving access to affordable credit, Workday on driving regional growth, and Vanguard on how the Treasury can better support retail investment.

Celebrated Windrush Day with parliamentary colleagues, attended the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology’s Cyber Resilience Pledge reception, and joined the APPG on Motorsport and Formula One.
Attended the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast alongside Buckingham’s very own Bishop Dave, bringing together parliamentarians and faith leaders from across the UK.
