Happy St Patrick’s Day
Good afternoon,
Happy St Patrick’s Day! Sláinte, and I hope it’s a good one.
As a reminder, the MK Irish Centre is based in Bletchley, and you can follow their events and outreach through their Facebook page.
Meanwhile, I’m back in Westminster to vote on national issues and advocate for local people, with the start of this week having a strong focus on improving regulation and reducing blockers to productivity.
We’re working hard to get this country back on track, and I am sure readers will share my delight that NHS waiting lists are down for the fifth month in a row. We have also taken the bold step to dismantle NHS England to make our health service more streamlined and efficient.
Whilst there is still a lot to do, green shoots of opportunity and improvement are starting to appear.
Local visits
Last week in the constituency I:
Attended the local derby between Milton Keynes Irish FC (speaking of St Patrick’s Day) and Winslow United FC - obviously I stayed neutral!
Chatted to local residents on the Badgers Estate in Buckingham with our brilliant candidate team for the Buckinghamshire Council elections.
Stopped by the The Frank Moran Centre to listen into the West Bletchley Community Forum.
Visited one of my favourite places in Bletchley – our beautiful Blue Lagoon Local Nature Reserve. I’m committed to ensuring the Blue Lagoon remains a welcoming, accessible place for all ages to enjoy.
In Westminster
Back in Westminster I:
Attended the Data (Use and Access) Bill Committee as a Parliamentary Private Secretary.
Voted in favour of the Finance Bill to progress the Chancellor’s Budget.
Went along to the APPG on Private Capital.
